November is National Inspirational Role Model Month. Darlene House, Owner/Chief Communications Specialist of House of Communications, created the observation in 2005. This year’s theme is Acknowledging the Dynamic Inspiration of Family, Friends and Community.
I knew I wanted to write something about this observance, but I didn’t know what. After I saw the theme for 2010, I figured I should highlight some of the people in my circle who inspire me.
This week, it’s LaKesha Womack!
LaKesha wears many hats: She’s a mommy to a four-year-old little boy, a blogger, author (her first book is Is She the ONE? ) and owner and lead consultant with Womack Consulting Group, a company specializing in helping small business owners become successful through a series of seminars and one-on-one consultations.
Why she inspires me:
I first “met” LaKesha online on Twitter (I think), then I started reading her blog, and I love it. I finally met her in person at one of her book signings. And just like online, LaKesha’s a very kind and friendly person in real life; even though we’ve only met once, I consider her a friend of mine.
LaKesha encourages me to go after my dreams and pursue my goals but to also make sure I make time to enjoy life and have fun! Additionally, she’s co-writing a book with me and has been very generous in giving her time, resources and advice about the entire process.
Because I ♥ her, you should check out LaKesha’s blog, follow her on Twitter, and “like” her Facebook page.

It is always a blessing and an honor when someone thinks enough of you to write kind words letting you know that your actions actually mean something in their life.
I truly believe in your work, Jamie and look forward to being a part of your journey. Thanks!
