Ah, ha! You're a girlie-girl too, huh? Wait, I think I already knew that. LOL. Pretty nails. I looove nail polish, too. The Warrior Princesses love it when I go on a nail polish haul. The It's Not Me.... is similar to a color that I have from Essie, Smooth Sailing. Stunning. It's a lighter blue, with silver flecks, so your nails look like pretty denim. Have you tried the LuxeEffects by Essie? Woo! I have the As Gold As It Gets. Love the consistency, and how it makes just about any color pop. Never tried Seche Vite, but since you say it's good, I'm going to give it a try. ;o) Sally's and Ulta sent me coupons (yippie).

OK, let me get back to work.

Have a great weekend, Jamie.

trey: I liked that you said "Our little black girls need to be praised, honoured and admired. They should be told daily that they are beautiful, and if they are given those messages early and often enough, they may start to believe it."

Also, I know from my own life that even though I got the praise, honor and admiration regularly, I still had struggles with confidence, with fear, because I relied too heavily on me and my own strength and not enough on His, the Lord's. I don't blame anyone for that 'cause they couldn't model for me what they didn't have back then.

However, I am now held to a higher standard to instill the faith that I have in my daughters and son. This is already helping them have God Confidence - trust in and faith in God to help them do what others say is impossible. It's awesome to see my kids blossoming in ways that I could not when I was their ages.

I'm so glad that they know: no matter what happens in life, God is their constant Go To. His Word is their standard ... and not our imperfect lives.

Thanks Jamie for this awesome blog!

[...] As a young person dealing with heart disease, Raijean thinks other young people often forget to take care of their hearts. So, the Bleeding Heart Project’s mission is simple: to educate the world about Heart Disease, one heart at a time through awareness. (You can check out her story here). [...]

I am very interested in getting additional information as to how to advertise on your site...I wrote a Postive Affirmation Handbook for Women and I am currently on Amazon.com/Kindle books, but I would like to pursue publishing my work. Any recommendations? BTW, I really love your site...very informative. Peace & Blessings!

Wow!..Reading "It's Your Hair. It's Your Journey. Discover It." Took me very deep in thought, which made me realize how I've been holding my hair hostage for over 25 years with relaxers. I haven't had a relaxer in 4 months. Tapping into Nappturality.com made me feel that transitioning back to my natural grade of hair is something that I'm looking forward to during without looking back.
