fcg's rules to live by

I came up with the idea of rules to live by from a book called, Beautylicious: The Black Girl’s Guide to the Fabulous Life. In it, Jenyne Raines talks about her personal philosophy/rules to live by.

Here are the rules for colored gurls thinks every woman needs in her life:

Stop BS’ing and go after what you want in your life.
Do at least one thing daily to get closer to your goals.
Exercise at least three days a week.
Be a fabulous and beautylicious diva everyday. Ok, most days. Also, stay fly and follow your own sense of style.
Always find out ways you can improve on you, and strive to be the best version of yourself.
Cherish and spend time with your family, your friends and yourself.
Treat everyone with respect and be cordial to those you encounter- whoever he or she may be.
Take care of all of you- mind, body and spirit.
Do you and mind your own business. When you’re concerning yourself with your affairs, you won’t have time to worry about anyone else’s.
Let go of any and everything that creates negative and toxic energy.
Remember that happiness is attainable; you create it for yourself.
Always strive to live your best life.
