Thoughts about 2009

December 31, 2009
By

So…2009 is almost over, and what a crazy/fun/fabulous/lovely, etc. year it’s been!

Highlights of my year included:

  • Moving back home
  • Quitting my part-time job
  • Celebrated one year with my babe, one year of having locs and one year writing on this blog ♥
  • Two years of being natural
  • Helped my parents celebrate 25 years of marriage
  • Did some things out of my comfort zone
  • Co-founded Girls Inspired to Reach high in Life (G.I.R.L.)
  • Stepped out on faith
  • And had fun in general…

Oh, yeah, we’re also about to start a new decade…wow, 10 years ago, I was just a 13-year-old girl. Man, soooo much has happened in the last 10 years. I got my first kiss (at 13 lol), I graduated from high school (with honors, woot, woot!), I went on three band trips, went natural, discovered my love of journalism, loced my hair, really learned who I am, flew on a plane for the first time ever…and too many more to name.

With all the good and not-so-good that’s happened, I am truly thankful for all of my experiences this year and for the past 10 years. And I am so ready for what 2010 has to offer! Let’s make it fabulous, ya’ll ♥
