I don’t know about you, but I’m not too fond of today’s music (do I really need to explain why?)
So this week’s question is, quite simply, what do you think of current music? Like/dislike? Retarded? Meaningless?

Some things I can groove to and some things I don’t. The beats are hot, but the lyrics are seriously lacking. It all depends on the song.
Most of the music today is lacking substance. Is it too much to ask for meaningful lyrics with the tight beat? I will listen to anything once, but only good music stays in rotation. The songs with the best beats are only good for the dance floor lol.
Lyrically, music today leaves alot to be desired. Most of it is mindless music. Sure, I can shake my tail to it but it certainly does lack in substance. I agree with Toni about only good music staying in rotation.
Personally, I love live music and classic or neo-soul. I like music that tells a story and has depth to it. Does that mean I won’t listen to todays music. No. I just can’t listen to it for long or on repeat.
