Someone shared this story with me on Twitter the other day.
Tasha Hill, a black Army reservist and her 7-year-old daughter was walking into Cracker Barrel in Morrow, GA as Troy Dale West, a white man, was leaving. Hill asked him to be careful of the swinging door hitting her child.
She said, “Excuse me, sir, you need to watch yourself you almost hit my daughter in the face.” West became angry and beat Hill in front of her daughter. During the incident, witnesses said they heard West screaming racial slurs at her.
The FBI is currently investigating the incident as a possible hate crime, and West is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on Sept. 28.

It’s a damn shame.
what a shame it takes a real wimp to beat up on a woman and to do it in front of the little girl ,what kind of animal is he .Wonder what his family thinks of him ,would”nt that make you a proud mother,father,wife,child,or sibiling.I can tell you one thing I would be so ashamed of being any kind i would”nt want any one to know i even knew him. Mr.West i would just like to ask you one thing.Dont you feel like a mighty BIG man now ? How would you feel if this had of been your wife & child ? I personally think you are a man that needs to seek God and 1RST ASK HIM for forgiveness and then ask to serve the time in jail that you so deserve .
I’m saddened to say that this doesn’t surprise me, especially in any area of GA… I hope they deem it a hate crime and toss West right where he needs to be; in jail for a long time. Apparently, that’s where scum like him belongs. *shakes head*
